1 lb lean beef steak, sliced into thin strips
2 tsp Spice Tree Organics Middle Eastern Shawerma Spice
3 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, sliced thinly
1 tbsp white vinegar
Salt, to taste (we like 1 tsp)
Lemon wedges, to serve
In a bowl, mix the beef strips with the spices, vinegar, salt, and half of the olive oil. Leave to marinate for at least an hour.
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in the remaining olive oil. Add the sliced onion and cook until golden. Add the beef strips and leave, undisturbed, for 4-5 minutes so the beef browns nicely on the bottom. Stir the beef and cook until browned on the other side and cooked through, an additional 5-6 minutes.
Serve in a pita wrap with sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles and tahini sauce.
